The International Academy of Applied Neuropsychology

The International Academy of Applied Neuropsychology (IAAN) offers conferences, courses, and seminars in many aspects of neurological and neuropsychological rehabilitation for all interdisciplinary professionals. Training is in English and taught by international experts. Dipl.-Psych. Herbert König & Dipl.-Psych. Gerhard Müller direct the program along with team members Simone Eisenbacher, Kirsten Wander, and Katja Schuler-Petschler. Back to the Future of INS:
Transdisciplinary Approaches to Neuropsychology

February 15-19, 2012

This meeting offers a full program designed to be scientifically challenging and of interest to a wide range of disciplines. Highlights include keynote addresses by: Brenda Milner, Marilyn Jones-Gotman, Morris Moscovitch, Michael Petrides, Donald Stuss, and Edith Sullivan.

Invited symposia will focus on Transdisciplinary approaches to Neuropsychology. They will include topics such as: Neurodevelopmental treatment of learning disorders
Cognitive Neuroscience integrated with neurocognitive rehabilitation (possibly including neuroprosthetics)
Transdisciplinary investigation of memory disorders

In addition, an extensive continuing education program will be available.

Abstract submission will open on May 16. See the Call for Abstracts on the INS web site for details. Abstracts received after the deadline of August 31, 2011 will not be considered. If you have any questions regarding the submission process, please contact the INS office by e-mail. Meeting registration and hotel reservations will be available in September.

The International Congress of Psychology, held every four years under the auspices of the International Union of Psychological Science, is the flagship event in international psychology. The previous 29th ICP was held in Berlin in July 2008 and attracted some 11,000 abstract submissions and over 10,000 delegates. The 30th International Congress of Psychology is the first to be held in Africa, and is organised by the National Research Foundation of South Africa and the Psychological Society of South Africa, in partnership with key South African universities and national government departments. Organised around the theme Psychology Serving Humanity, the congress will highlight how psychology translates its science and practice into the knowledge, skills and tools that are able to underpin the human condition. Besides Invited Addresses and Symposia by global leaders in their fields, there will be State of the Science Lectures and Debates on topics of current interest, and exhibitions by leading publishing houses, technological innovators and international psychology organisations. Special activities will include an Emerging Psychologists' Programme, Advanced Research Training Seminars for psychologists from the developing world, various pre and post congress satellite conferences and a variety of tours for delegates and accompanying persons.
