INS Seeking New ILC Chair

The INS is looking for a chairperson to coordinate the activities of its International Liaison Committee. The main responsibilities of the chairperson are to coordinate and oversee the operation of the INSNET bulletin, the Research and Editing Consultant Program, and the Book and Journal Program, all of which are managed by INS member volunteers. The ILC chair works closely with the INS Board of Directors and oversees the ILC web site which is maintained by staff. In addition, the chair corresponds with regional representatives from around the world and answers inquiries from international neuropsychology professionals.This position has the potential to be developed in new directions and to be both personally and professionally rewarding. Mission of ILC

The INS established the International Liaison Committee (ILC) in an effort to promote increased communication and collaboration among neuropsychologists worldwide. The ILC works exclusively as a broker of information. As such, the Committee addresses some of the obstacles of full participation in scientific and clinical activities that many colleagues face. The ILC provides information on INS and outside programs, many designed especially for those from developing regions where resources and contact with other neuropsychologists may be limited. Regional Representatives

The International Liaison Committee is developing a network of regional representatives to further enhance its goals. We seek energetic, committed professionals who are actively involved in the practice of neuropsychology.

The main duties of the representatives will be to report, via a brief paragraph twice a year, on neuropsychological activities and issues in their specific regions. These reports will be published in the INS-NET and posted on the ILC website. ILC representatives may also be called upon to respond to occasional inquiries about neuropsychological services and opportunities within their regions.
